QNET Launches Anti-Scam Campaign to Combat Fraud and Brand Misrepresentation in GhanaQNET has unveiled its “QNET Against Scams” campaign in Ghana. This six-month initiative aims to educate the public and raise media awareness about fraudulent activities misusing the QNET brand.The campaign launch event took place at theQNET Training Centre, operated by Bosumtwi Industries Limited, QNET’s local business partner in Ghana. The comprehensive campaign will leverage multiple channels, including television, radio, online news portals,social media, print media, and billboards across Ghana, focusing on key regions such as Greater Accra, Ashanti, Eastern, Western, Ahafo, Volta, Northern, and Bono.Ms. Ramya Chandrasekaran, Chief Communications Officer for the Qi Group QNET’s parent company, emphasized the campaign’s importance. “Despite our ongoing efforts, misconceptions about QNET persist in Ghana. Unauthorized individuals have been exploiting our brand name for illegal activities, deceiving people with false promises of jobs or travel opportunities abroad. Our campaign aims to combat this issue through public education aggressively,” she stated.“QNET is about empowerment, not exploitation! And we are fighting back against these scams,” Ms. Chandrasekaran concluded.Col. Rashid Salifu, Managing Director of Bosumtwi Industries, echoed this sentiment, highlighting the need for collective action. “We must unite to fight against scammers who are defrauding innocent Ghanaians. Awareness is our most powerful tool in this battle,” he said.The “QNET Against Scams” campaign has outlined four primary objectives:1. Fall highlighted the devastating impact of these criminal activities and QNET’s commitment to public education and consumer protection.Miss Augustina Uka, Senior Labour Officer at FMLE, spoke about the Ministry's dedication to empowering youths: "Our commitment to enhancing the employability of young Nigerians is unwavering. Through our collaboration with QNET, we understand the company and their aim to help people live better lives by educating and empowering youths with the knowledge on how to identify and avoid fake job offers, such as the Say NO!
