What's the difference between Campingaz 904 and 907? ›

The Campingaz 904 cylinder is the mid-size in the Campingaz range and holds 1.81kg of butane gas. The Campingaz 907 cylinder is the largest size in the Campingaz range and holds 2.72kg of butane gas.

Best way is to weigh them, stamped on bottle somewhere will be tare weight, weight of empty bottle, you know the weight of the gas in a full bottle as bottle is described by weight of gas, ie 4.5kg butane, so weighing will give you an accurate figure of what is left.

The existing 907 Campingaz cylinders (they are discontinuing 901 and 904 cylinders to concentrate on automated 907 refilling) are not designed to use a winter propane/butane mix. The use of Campingaz 907 is not therefore a substitute for the loss of small Calor Gas propane cylinders.

Any idea why it's so expensive? Camping Gaz has always been expensive in comparison to other brands of gas. However you do have to remember that the cylinders are very much smaller so a bigger proportion of what you pay will be taken up with the refilling and safety checks.

Our 904 lasted around 6 weeks of just breakfast and evening meal camping.

Depending on the gas bottle you use, different regulators are required: If you use patio gas, you will need the Calor Patio Gas 27mm Low-Pressure Propane Clip-On Gas Regulator. The regulator for Campingaz cylinders is the Campingaz 29 mbar Low-Pressure Butane Gas Regulator.

According to CampingGaz website there's 2.75 kg of gas in a 907 and 1.8 kg of gas in a 904 so with the amount we use I'm sure even a 904 would last us a season.

The Campingaz 907 Empty Cylinder can hold up to 2.75kg of Butane which will run a double burner stove for approximately 8 hours. It is ideal for campers travelling to Europe as it can be exchanged in most European countries.
